I think Josh and I have finally found the perfect solution
for us. As I stated earlier Josh wants to
take the job my dad is able to offer him, the only problem was to get this
specific job he would need to be out of the Army before June (which is his ETS
date). We started looking into an
article six to see if we could get out do to my medical issues and the help and
attention I need at the moment, but because we are living with each other, we
don’t qualify (go figure). Josh then
learned that if he joins active National Guard (one weekend a month, two weeks
a year) then they can cut his contract by six months. Although I am still concerned about a
deployment, this feels very right to me.
Josh is glad to have the opportunity to get the job he wants as well as
have the little bit of time, to continue being a soldier. Although I am aware things could possibly
change (as they always seem to) this is what we are planning on which means we
will be moving at the end of January to head back to Colorado. I think the timing for this would be perfect
as my baby girl will be three month old by then, Josh will have had another four
months of counseling, and we can start a new year starting over. I am so happy and hopeful now that we have
something more concrete to go on. Josh
plans on working on his resume with my dad this weekend and we have already
made arrangements with my parents for moving in when we first get home.
